A faster, more accessible OrderWise — plus new guides and comparisons
A full visual refresh, WCAG AA accessibility across every public page, faster-loading marketing pages, and a batch of new long-form guides and competitor comparisons.
This release is about polish and trust. No new channels or AI features — just making everything you already use look sharper, load faster, and work for everyone.
A bold visual refresh
The marketing site and public pages moved to a new design system: a proper
brand typeface, a richer colour palette, consistent cards and buttons, and
tasteful motion that respects prefers-reduced-motion. The Shopify admin keeps
its native Polaris look — the refresh is scoped to the public surfaces so the
app you work in stays familiar.
Accessibility: WCAG AA across the board
Every public page now passes an automated WCAG AA audit with zero violations — landing pages, blog, FAQ, comparisons, docs, changelog, and the legal pages. That means proper colour contrast, keyboard navigation, focus states, and correct landmark structure for screen readers. The storefront chat widget also gained visible focus outlines and full reduced-motion support.
Faster marketing pages
The landing pages were re-architected as server components, so the hero renders without waiting on JavaScript and the German landing is now statically prerendered. The embedded admin bundle no longer loads on marketing visits.
New reading material
We shipped a batch of long-form content for merchants comparing tools:
- What AI customer support actually costs — the per-resolution pricing trap and how to model your real monthly bill.
- Why we publish our AI eval scores — what measurable AI quality means and why "trust me, it's good AI" isn't enough.
- Shopify Kundenservice automatisieren — a German guide to what you can and can't automate.
- Three new head-to-head comparisons: OrderWise vs. Intercom, vs. Crisp, and vs. Help Scout.
You'll find the latest posts surfaced right on the homepage, and a quick FAQ there too for the questions merchants ask most before installing.
Under the hood
Fixed a stale free-tier number that read "25 conversations" in a few places — the Free plan covers 50 conversations per month, now consistent everywhere.
